Sestriere is a modern holiday resort that is built on a plateau that enjoys plenty of sunshine. This resort is ideal for enthusiasts of all mountain-related sports. Located in the centre of the Via Lattea ski area, it offers visitors over 400km of slopes, 66 modern skilifts and a very efficient artificial snow system (around 950 snow cannons). You can even take a little trip to France as the resort of Montgenevre is part of this collective area. The slopes of Sestriere cater for all levels, from beginners to competition skiers,snowboarders, to carving fanatics and telemark lovers… Sestriere hosted the Alpine Ski World Championships in 1997, and was also the host-town for the Turin 2006 Olympic Games.
